This class will center around the history of theater and provide each student with the tools to properly research a play before beginning to act. I will introduce each student to the various tools to build a strong foundation and really know each show before bringing it to life. Tools that can be used by actors and techies alike.

This course will end in a performance, with each student learning about how to properly research a play, basics of acting on stage, roles of backstage workers, and what needs to make a play successful.

Location: Beale Street Theater 302 E Beale St 

$120 for all 8 sessions and performance 

Sunday’s 4:00pm-6:00pm March 1st-April 26th

Description: Join us as choreographer and instructor Lisa walks us through the basics of tap dance. This class is perfect for those new to tap as well as a fantastic refresher for those with a previous background in tap. This is a great opportunity for performers who might want to learn to tap for any upcoming or future productions. 

There will be an opportunity to perform a routine in an upcoming First Friday performance after completion of the 8 sessions.

Time: Wednesdays 5:30pm-6:45pm 

Dates: January 21st- March 11th 

Location: Beale Street Studios 204 E Beale St  

$75 for all 8 sessions or pay $10 per session 

Open to all ages 12 and up. Perfect for adults, beginners, and all levels interested in a beginners tap refresher.
